Lorie began working at St. John’s in 2015, but prior to that was the librarian and music teacher at our elementary school since 1999. In addition to being the pianist/organist for Masses at St. John’s, she also directs music ministries, coordinates Mass ministers, oversees bereavement ministry, and comes up with creative opportunities for parishioners to connect in fellowship and prayer throughout the year. The highlight of her job? The Mass, and the gift it is to be present where God is and see our parish come together. Lorie is a mom of 3 adult children and enjoys going home after a day of work to relax with puzzles and games of solitaire.
Fun Fact: "As part of the 1979-80 All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir, following the summer performances at the State Fair, we went on a European Tour, performing across seven countries which included a concert at the famous La Scala Opera House in Milan, Italy."
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. (John 3:16 – always followed by the song she taught her students at the elementary school)

Shirley started at St. John’s as a secretary back in 1994 and has since moved up to be our business manager. She serves as a steward of the physical, financial, and personnel resources of the parish. Her favorite part of her job is working with numbers – every time the accounts all balance out, it’s like putting the final piece in a jigsaw puzzle. She is the proud mom of 4 daughters and grandmom of 13 grandkids. Her faithful companion is her golden retriever, Buddy.
Fun Fact: “I love crafting. I make a Christmas ornament for each grandkid every year, and I've been doing that for over 16 years.”
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:26)

Lisa joined the St. John's team in August of 2021. Her job consists of a variety of things including but not limited to, the bulletin, Facebook page, answering phones, and greeting visitors to the office. Her favorite part of the job is meeting and talking with all the people of the parish. She is the oldest of 4 children, and has thirteen nieces and nephews. When she is not at work, she loves to craft, and during hockey season, will almost certainly be found waving a Toledo Walleye flag at the Huntington Center where she and her husband are season ticket holders for the Toledo Walleye.
Fun Fact: "My husband and I got married on Halloween. After the wedding, the entire wedding party went trick-or-treating and on a hayride before the reception. The reception was a costume party where about 85% of the guests wore costumes."
"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)
