This program consists of readings and activities to help children more fully participate in the Liturgy of the Word at an age appropriate level. It is generally intended for children ages 4-7 (or through 2nd grade until First Communion). NO registration is needed. During Sunday Mass, a catechist takes the children before the first reading to the Rectory Basement Classroom and they return during the Preparation of the Gifts.
We are happy to welcome the children back to CLW! Every Sunday, 11:00am Mass. We can't wait to see those smiling faces!
Catechists are in charge of leading class for our 1st through 8th grade CCD classes. They do wonderful work in helping our students learn more about the Catholic faith. If you want to know more about becoming a Catechist, please contact the parish office.
Our Finance Council meets monthly to discuss the finances and budget of the parish. This team provides support and feedback on various financial aspects of the parish. The goal of this council is to keep the parish finances transparent and to foster a healthy culture of stewardship within the parish community.

Our Pastoral Council meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm. The purpose of this team is to brainstorm new ideas for projects around the parish and to provide support and feedback to the pastor. The council gives lay people in our parish a chance to be involved with the mission and direction of the church.
Pastoral Council meetings are open to anyone in the parish to attend. If you would like to come to a meeting, please call the parish office at least a day before to let us know you'll be there.
Shawls or lap blankets can be found in the Narthex by the Prayer Corner bulletin board. If you're interested in joining the PSM team to crochet or knit, you can get in touch with Lynn McDonagh at 419-726-3435.
Helping Hands of St. Louis, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo, is located at 443 Sixth St., Toledo, Ohio, and serves low-income and homeless families and individuals. The Outreach Center includes a Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry, and Clothing Center. Additional services include providing hygiene packs to families and hot showers and hygiene and snack kits to the homeless.
Since 1982, Helping Hands has served more than 1.5 million meals to people in need. An average of 250 meals are now served each day, Monday through Friday, through the generosity of local community members and businesses and through the dedication of our volunteer teams.
The mission of Helping Hands of St. Louis is to provide hot nutritious meals, groceries, clothing, hot showers and other social services for all who come to our doors. We strive to acknowledge the dignity of each and every person by assisting with a smile, an embrace, or a material or a spiritual need.
Our St. John the Baptist team helps cook and serve a meal at the soup kitchen typically about twice a month. Our service opportunities have looked different since Covid-19, but we have been able to make and serve bagged lunches several times - and we look forward to serving at full capacity again soon. In addition, our church also runs collection for various needs of HHSL throughout the year, such as winter clothing and toys for families at Christmas. If you would like to get involved, please contact Rosemary Sanders at 419-304-7667.

We are Catholic men of faith and men of charitable action.
Our Knights of Columbus council participates in various service projects around our parish and community. If you would like to join, please check out their website here or call our council leader, Jesse Ruiz (419-343-7937).
Founded in 1833, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide organization of lay Catholics following Christ’s call to serve the poor, the suffering, and the deprived.
Our founding activity, still practiced today, is the Home Visit. Through these visits, Vincentian members establish personal relationships with our neighbors in need, not only providing material assistance such as rent, utilities, food, or clothing, but also offering friendship, understanding, and prayer.
Because “no work of charity is foreign to the Society,” Vincentians respond to many community and individual needs through programs such as disaster relief services, job training and placement, thrift stores, food pantries, housing programs, prison reentry, medical services, and many others, always seeking longer-term pathways out of poverty and towards the full flourishing of every person.
Our chapter of St. Vincent de Paul is proud to serve our Point Place community by helping families and individuals with food baskets and utility assistance. We appreciate the support of our parish family through food bank and monetary donations! If you would like to join the team, please contact the parish office.
If you live in our parish boundaries (43611 zip code) and need food or utility assistance, please call the parish office (419-726-2034) and we will put you in touch with St. Vincent representatives. Please note that our chapter is not helping with rent payments at this time. If you do not live in our parish area, we encourage you to call 2-1-1 or your local church for their St. Vincent de Paul chapter.
